VAARAN BHAAT

Ingredients:

250 grms Dal ( Pigeon Pea (Toor dal))

1 ½ Tbsp Clarified butter (Ghee)

2 tsp Cummin seeds

½ stp Turmeric Powder

1 bunch Coriander leaves ( chopped finely)

1 pinch of Asafetida

Salt to taste

Method :

Step 1 : Pressure cook the dal with salt and turmeric powder with 3 whistles . Once dal is cooked, mash it a little bit.

Step 2 : Take another pan with 1 Tbsp ghee and add cumin seeds to it till it gets browned.

Step 3 : Add mashed dal to it with Asafetida.

Step 4 : Sprinkle chopped coriander all over.

Step 5 : Serve it hot with Basmati Rice with remaining Clarified butter as topping.
